All the hotel staff were very kind, and although it was my first time in Nepal, I was able to stay there comfortably and with peace of mind. The hotel and room interiors had a calming design and color scheme, so even when I returned tired from sightseeing, I was able to relax in my room. They also replenished our bottle of mineral water, which was very helpful as I had a lot of luggage and it was difficult to buy water to bring home. Breakfast was also delicious every day, served in a quiet restaurant. I would definitely like to stay here again

We had a problem with the number of guests showing as only 1 on the booking, but the management did a great job handling it with professionalism and fixing the issue for us. Its not my first time with them and definitely not the last.

"I came to Nepal to climb Everest. It was complicated season because of the covid, staying at Nepali Ghar made the trip… the guys took so good care of us always positive, helpful and optimistic! After staying there for couple of weeks at a time it didn’t feel like being on a travel, but staying with friends and family. Highly recommended!"

"This is a truly quaint hotel within Thamel. Character oozed! The right location as just 5-10mins walk to the noisy hearty part of Thamel. Food at breakfast was good and filling and self service tea, coffee and juice is available all day in the lobby. The room was spacious, clean but the WiFi continually drips out. Security staff stand at the hotel gate entrance but speak no English."

"Spent two weeks back in February, beautiful hotel and very accommodating staff. I have rarely seen such beautiful woodwork in a new, modern building and the hotel is well located on the edge of Themel, the life blood of Kathmandu. Highly recommend."

I stayed at the Nepali Ghar for 10 days in February 2020 whilst visiting my son. My room was my sanctuary after my daily adventures - it was clean, spacious and the shower luxurious! Great laundry service too. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. The hotel is in a great location and on entering is instantly calming from the boisterous Thamel. The smell from the lemongrass diffuser will live in my memory for a long time! Would definitely recommend.

"Nice boutique hotel In the neighbourhood of Thames, walking distant to lots of eateries & shops. Accidentally knocked the brass basin with my tooth brush and it sang like a singing bowl to my delight. Most hospitable hotel staff that insisted to arrange table for our briefing, lounge to relax, etc. The only set back was the noise pollution from the construction site next door that starts throwing their materials at 4:30am to 5:30am waking me up just when I was in my deepest sleep. Sound proofing between the rooms can be further improved too."

The Staff are very polite and helpful, they upgraded us to the suite and it was just fantastic! best way to end the trip. what sets this hotel apart is its quiet and yet very close to the hustle!
